There have been long gaps between weddings this year unfortunately but every single one we have photographed has been extra special because of the circumstances everyone has found themselves in. Nobody will ever forget 2020! However even more reason not to forget 2020 is if that was the year you got married despite it all. That is exactly what Casey and Dan did. They obviously had to tweak their plans and cut down the guest list to comply with the Covid rules but their day was absolutely gorgeous and apart from a few masks and strategically placed seating for ceremony and meal you would never have know we were in a pandemic!
Casey had booked out one of the hospitality suites at Draycote to ensure that there was plenty of space for her and her bridesmaids to be pampered. It was great to see Lucy Davidson and Chloe Coleman again who were doing hair and make up. One of the things we have missed has been bumping into our supplier friends at weddings. Casey’s dress was from Liney’s Brides in Hinckley and looked stunning in it!
Dan arrived at the hotel in the morning to get ready. He had the couple’s baby son with him too who was a real cutie. Dan wore a suit from Nigel James Dresswear.
Another supplier we caught up with on the day was Rob from Rugby Discos who did the uplighting and was playing background music for the day.
The ceremony was in the Phoenix Suite. Rainbow Wedding Shop had dressed the chairs (as well as doing the table stationery) and the flowers were by Florum Decor, who was also a family member. The flowers matched perfectly with the colour scheme.
Amy from the registry office in Rugby conducted the ceremony and once married we were able to get a few photos outside with the guests before they sat down to ear. A mention here for the company that made the signage, Mally’s Crafts.
Mia was running things for the hotel. As always she was amazing making sure that Casey and Dan were looked after perfectly and she also came down onto the golf course with us after the meal when we went off to take some more couple photos. We made good use of her. She captured some behind the scenes photos of us working and we got her to hold a light here and there!! Thanks Mia.
Casey and Dan were allowed to have a first dance under the regulations however sunset clashed with the timings so Rob held off from the music while we nipped back out and captured some gorgeous night time shots. The cake was made by Aunt, Ann Ward.
Perfect day! It’s so good to be out photographing weddings. Check out some of the photos in the slideshow and below and to see more contact Casey or Dan for the password and discount code for their gallery.
