Well who would have thought at the beginning of 2020 how the year was going to unfold. Crazy times. But in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic there have been some rays of sunshine. One of those for us was being able to photograph the wedding of Sharon and Alex on their original wedding day. It wasn’t what they planned however it was still beautiful and so special. The rules at the time were maximum 30 people so the guest list was trimmed and those attending had to wear masks during the ceremony but as the weather played ball the only other time they donned masks were for some photos which they requested.

Their ceremony was at Ashton Lodge Country House where Karen was looking after the couple and their guests. We all signed in and had temperatures taken as per the guidelines. Once the registrars arrived from Warwickshire Registration Services the ceremony got under way. Sharon and Alex said their vows, exchanged rings and had their first married kiss. Then walked back down the aisle and outside for a confetti throw. We had a few family photos to take and as the rest of the guests left we took the newly weds around the lovely gardens at the venue for their first married couple photos.

Such a lovely day for everyone and they are looking forward to a party next year where everyone can join them and dance the day away. Something that we are all looking forward to being able to do.

Hope this reassures couples out there who are still planning on having their wedding day that the photos can still be beautiful and we can still capture what you mean to each other in those photos. Take care and keep staying safe.
