So many lovely things about the wedding of Sophie and Jason, where to start? Well first off we knew Sophie as her Dad got married a few years ago and Sophie was a bridesmaid so needless to say lots of people that we knew at the wedding which we always love. Next was the venue. We have photographed at the gorgeous Kilworth House in Leicestershire before but this one was a little different as the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations were in The Staging Post, the cosy log cabin which is situated alongside Kilworth House Theatre, a place I have been many times for brilliant nights out. All in all this one was going to be fab!
Kev and I were both taking preparation photos at the hotel. Sophie had one of the beautiful suites and was there with her Mum and friends. Lucy Robyn was doing the hair and make up for them. Her stunning dress from Townhouse Bridal Boutique had pride of place in the room during this time. Kev captured Jason arriving and got some great photos of him in his Peter Posh suit.
We knew that we were in good hands all day as Mehmet was running things in his organised, friendly and helpful manner.
The Orangerie was looking beautiful as ever with chair covers by Vintage Fare and gorgeous flowers from By Arrangement. The ceremony was conducted by Leicestershire Registration Service and then, because the weather was finally kind to us after a stormy weekend, we were able to go outside for photos and the drinks reception which I know Sophie and Jason were delighted about. All day the pair of them had beaming smiles on their faces which meant photographing them was such a pleasure.
While we took some couple portraits the hotel used their transport to take guests down to The Staging Post. I think all the guests loved this! The decor in here had been done by the Sophie and Jason themselves. It looked amazing. So cosy for a winter wedding. A few speeches preceded the fabulous food. Afterwards we were able to make our way back up to the hotel for a few evening photos and then it was time to party. First though was the cutting of the cake by Dilicious Cakes and then the first dance with music from Cream.
An awesome day where the weather also played ball, only rained in the evening 🙂 Check out the photos and feel free to share the post. If you want to see more then ask Sophie of Jason for the password and discount to the their gallery.
