Weddings seem like they were a lifetime ago at the moment with all that is going on in the world so it was lovely to put this together for Claire and Tom who married in the beautiful Lapstone Barn in the Cotswolds recently. It was our first visit to this gorgeous venue and with it’s cosy feel and log fires it wasn’t a problem that it was blowing a gale outside!! Like all recent newlyweds Claire and Tom are getting used to life being different than expected but in their case, as Tom works abroad, they have ended up not being able to be together for significantly longer than it should have been this time 🙁 So being able to share their photos for them over a weekend when they could see them at the same time albeit apart was special.
I originally met Claire when she was a bridesmaid for one of her best friends, Emily, a few years ago. It was lovely as Emily was bridesmaid this time. Always good to see familiar faces. Claire got ready at her Mum’s home where Sarah Russell was doing hair and make up. We then travelled to the venue altogether. Kev met up with Tom at a lovely cottage near the venue in Chipping Campden where he captured the guys getting ready and into their suits from Peter Posh in Warwick.
Once we arrived at the venue Claire put on her gorgeous dress from The White Boutique in Leamington Spa and with flowers by The Bay Tree she was ready to walk down the aisle. The ceremony barn looked stunning with more floral arrangements. Once married the guests threw the confetti as the couple walked back down the aisle and then had drinks and canapes with their guests. It wasn’t going to be the best option to try and do the group photos outside but it really wasn’t a problem as the barn provided a beautiful backdrop. We did however venture out for some couple photos.
Once back inside it was time to make their way in for the wedding breakfast with some fabulous food. The service at the barn was brilliant as were the whole team running the day. After speeches guests relaxed and Claire and Tom were able to mingle whilst the band, The Revivers, set up for the evening. Before they played there was the traditional cutting of the cake from The Cakery in Leamington Spa and then it was time for dancing. You could tell it was going to be a fabulous party!
We had a great time capturing the love that this pair share and the moments of their day. To see more photos contact Claire or Tom for the password for their gallery along with a discount code for prints. Stay safe everyone!
