It was great to be back at Dodford Manor again for the wedding of Kirsty and Tom. We always enjoy photographing there and it is a bonus that we always seem to get lovely people who want to book us as their wedding photographers 🙂 We were so lucky that the weather was kind too.
My day started with Kirsty and her bridesmaids at her parents’ home. She had her friend Louise doing her hair for her and it was lovely to see Michelle from Mack who was doing the make up. It was a lovely relaxed time with everyone…well apart from when a wasp just wouldn’t leave Kirsty alone!! Her stunning dress was from Tillie’s Bridal Dreams in Rugby. She looked amazing in it.
Tom and the guys all arrived at Dodford ready for a bit of work putting up the bunting which was made by Tom’s Mum. They then had time for a few photos before greeting guests. Their suits were by House of Cavini and came from Hope in Rugby.
Kirsty was driven to the venue by her Dad in a rather lovely car. She made her way inside and soon it was time to walk down the aisle. The ceremony was conducted by the registrars from Northamptonshire.
I must mention the flowers. They were absolutely gorgeous. They were from one of the florists we recommend, Annita’s Floral Designs.
After the ceremony the guests all congregated outside for the drinks reception. It was a little windy and appeared to be threatening rain but all was good for the family photos and a few couple portraits before Kev got the drone in the air for a big group photo.
Jenkinsons were all ready to serve the guests with the wedding breakfast with Phil looking after everyone. There was time for us to go for a relaxed walk around the venue grounds afterwards for some more couple photos before they returned to their guests and we prepared for the first dance. Cake was made by a friend, Becky and once that had been cut it was over to 1 Entertainments to get the dancing underway.
It was a great day with great people. Big thanks to all at Dodford Manor. Just a few photos of the day are below but check out the gallery for more. (Kirsty and Tom have a password and discount code for this)
