Another wedding at Draycote Hotel to share with you. We have been the recommended photographer at this Warwickshire venue for many years now and love photographing there. Lots of beautiful places for photos and the venue always runs a wedding so well. But it was some of our past wedding couples recommending us that led us to be capturing Nicky and Ben’s wedding for them.

The day started for me over in Daventry. The couple were getting married at The Holy Cross Church in the town so Nicky chose a local hotel so she wasn’t too far away. She had her bridesmaids with her having hair and make up done. Her stunning Enzoani gown from Sammie Lou Bridal Couture was hanging proudly in the room when I arrived. During the morning Gail from Pink Peony arrived with the bouquets which were stunning.

Kev was with Ben and the boys at Draycote. They put on their Moss Bros suits and then headed out onto the driving range of Whitefields Golf Course which is on the site of the hotel.

Once dressed and ready it was time for Nicky to make her way to Church in a VW Camper Van from Morton’s Vintage Hire. As she walked down the aisle I caught Ben wiping away a tear. Dawn was conducting the ceremony and had connections with the couple so it was lovely to hear a more personal address.

We were able to get all the guests together on the steps outside for a big group photo and confetti and then it was back to the hotel to celebrate. Mia, the Event Manager, was ready to greet them on arrival with cocktails and we then jumped into the golf buggies to head onto the course for some romantic couple portraits.

After some family photos guests headed into the Phoenix Suite for the wedding breakfast. Rainbow Wedding Shop had done the chair covers and sashes. The room looked lovely.

We had some time before the evening got under way so Nicky and Ben decided to take up our offer of a few more relaxed photos in the gardens before their first dance and then dancing to Odd Child. The sunset was looming so we jumped onto the buggies again and captured a beautiful sky for them.

Great day and lovely people. Thanks from Nicky and Ben to Mia who they said had been amazing throughout the whole planning process and also on the day.

We are looking forward to designing a beautiful heirloom wedding album for Nicky and Ben so watch out on our social media pages as we will share a photo when they collect it.
