When you saw the day that Annette and Luke had you would not have believed we were on the verge of winter! What a bonus for them at a time of year when weather expectations are normally low! They had chosen the beautiful Catthorpe Manor Estate for their wedding which has great photo opportunities inside and out and we were able to take advantage of both. We have photographed weddings at Catthorpe in all seasons and it is always such a pleasure.
Annette decided to start getting ready at her parents’ home with her sister who was her bridesmaid. she had hair and make up done by Leanne Brown. She then travelled to the hotel before getting into her gorgeous Justin Alexander dress from Sammie Lou Bridal Couture.
Kev made his way to the hotel first thing so he could capture Luke and his best man preparing for the day ahead.
Flowers arrived during the morning from Jilly’s Flowers of Hinckley and they were stunning and perfectly matched to the colours of the day.
We captured some lovely photos of Annette walking from her room with her Dad and down the gorgeous staircase before she made her way down the aisle to meet up with Luke. During the ceremony they had some company from a very entertaining toddler which gave everyone a little smile. Once married it was time for confetti so everyone made their way outside. Although it was sunny there was a pretty cold wind so it was lovely that all the guests braved the conditions to join in the throwing!
After the drinks reception and some family photos we were able to go for a walk around the grounds with the newly weds and capture them together in some couple portraits and before they knew it, it was time to sit down for their wedding breakfast and speeches.
The evening got underway with cutting of the cake from Loquacious Baker of Burbage. They then did a very impressive first dance with their dance teacher Lynn Elkington looking on. The rest of the evening included the entertainment from the band they play with, JCC Alumni Band.
Massive thanks from Annette and Luke to the team at Catthorpe including Stella and Victoria who did a brilliant job of making sure everything went to plan.
