This year we have photographed weddings at Fawsley Hall Hotel (part of the Hand Picked Hotels Group) more than any other venue and it has been an absolute pleasure at each and every one of them. Set in the Northamptonshire countryside this stunning hotel also has a great team that supports couples both in the run up to their wedding but also brilliantly on the day. The latest couple to feature on our blog are Clare and Aurelio who married there recently and had a beautiful wedding.
Clare had chosen to get ready in one of the suites at Fawsley so I met up with her there. She had all her bridesmaids, Mum and Grandma with her. Sade from Sade Morland Studios was doing the make up and Clare had the one of her bridesmaids Jennie (Hair by Jennie Oxley) doing the hair styling. Her stunning Mori Lee gown was supplied by her Aunt who runs Angelique Lamont Bridal. There were some pretty stunning pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes for bride and Mum too.
Aurelio had chosen to stay at another hotel nearby to get ready. Gifts were exchanged before the guys all made their way to the venue to greet guests.
Fawsley Estate has a beautiful Church within the grounds Clare and Aurelio chose to say their vows there rather than having a civil ceremony. As a result Clare had a car from Wedding-Car.co.uk to transport her and the rest of her party to the Church. We were able to capture some lovely moments of her waiting outside the hotel with her Dad and also photos of her arriving. Sue the vicar was waiting to greet a very smiley bride at the door and it was inside to meet her groom waiting at the end of the aisle.
One of our favourite female singers was entertaining the guests throughout the day and into the evening too. Rebecca Diamond sang during the service and everyone was mesmerised. There were some beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets throughout the wedding all supplied by Forevermore Events.
Once married we had a confetti throw and then it was back to the hotel across the field. We loved capturing all the natural moments at this wedding and this was one of them.
We had a few family photos to take which included the bridesmaids doing a grand job of the Shark Song to try and make the little ones smile! This meant that Kev had a break from his Donald Duck impression which normally comes out at this point!! Thanks ladies.
We were able to make use of the grounds for couple photos before Clare and Aurelio rejoined their guests before their wedding breakfast.
There were cocktails to follow the meal and an opportunity for us to capture a sunset while the room was turned around for the evening.
A dance floor was laid and illuminated letters put in place by Booth Experia. Rebecca Diamond’s Band were all ready as was our good friend Paul Kavanagh DJ so the guests made their way back in to watch the cutting of the cake made by Karrin Simpson and then the first dance.
What a great day! Thanks to the team at Fawsley as always. Clare and Aurelio have the password for their gallery if you want to see all the photos from the day but here are just a selection to sum up the story of their day.
