It was fabulous to return to Hogarths in Solihull for the beautiful summer wedding of Jade and Pierre. They had the most amazing weather which gave them blue skies and sunshine all day. Who would have known how perfect the weather would have been when they started their planning two and a half years ago. We met Jade at a wedding fayre and immediately knew that we would get on like a house on fire.
So the day started for me at the hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and we had beautiful light pouring into them for the hair and make up. Helen Pearson was doing the make up and Vicky and Donna were doing the hair styling. Jade’s beautiful dress from Your Wedding Shop in Cotteridge looked fabulous hanging in the bridal suite.
Kev was with Pierre at the couple’s home at the start of his preparations. He then travelled to the hotel with his groomsmen all dressed in Ted Baker suits from Moss Bros.
The ceremony was conducted over the bridge onto the island at Hogarths. It is such a gorgeous setting. Jade was accompanied by her parents to walk down the path to meet Pierre. Throughout the wedding were some stunning flowers from Wedding Wishes. They were also responsible for the styling of the room for the wedding breakfast. There was music from Alison Eve on the harp during the ceremony and once married we captured a photo of everyone before they made their way back to the hotel for drinks. This venue is perfect for couple portraits so we took advantage before everyone was welcomed in for their meal.
Afterwards we were able to take the bridal party out for some fun photos which everyone appeared to enjoy and then it was back in for the cutting of the “donuts” before Soundkicks get the dancing underway with the first dance. We ended the day with a sunset shot. Perfect!
Thanks to Gemma from Hogarths who helped Jade and Pierre to plan the wedding of their dreams.
