What a special day this was for us! Not only were we photographing again at the wonderful Hand Picked Hotel, Fawsley Hall, but it was the wedding of two very special friends, Simon and Nathan. Simon is a member of the wedding team at Fawsley now but we met both him and Nathan when he worked at another local venue. Since then we have had the pleasure of not only working with Simon but also photographing Nathan performing with his best man Kenny as Me and My Shadow, a fabulous singing and dancing act.
Our day started with capturing guests arriving for the ceremony which was being held in Knightley Court. We had a sunny day but boy it was cold! Everyone made their way to their seats ready to welcome the couple into the room to get married. Another friend, Judy Mansfield (Cherish Ceremonies), our favourite celebrant, was leading the ceremony. What a beautiful personal ceremony it was too! There was singing from Kenny. Nathan’s gorgeous boys also sang which I have to say brought a tear to my eye. The couple had chosen a sand ceremony which involved important people in their lives and meant they had a rainbow piece of art as a memory. Wonderful vows and promises were made before they made their way back down the aisle as newly weds and outside for confetti, again in rainbow colours.
We took the pair off for a few photos around the grounds. They looked great in their suits and their buttonholes were beautiful (made by Sue Ainley at Garden Gate).
We then made our way back for the wedding breakfast. There was a theme of theatre, very apt as this pair are known by many as the Break A Leggers. Stationery had been done by Julie at Cards Galore. It was a great entrance as they went up to each table to take a selfie so they had a photo with every guest at the wedding on their phone!
Simon and Nathan want to thank the amazing team at Fawsley who made their day so special especially Louise, Stevie, Alan and Sam.
It really was an incredibly special day and one that we will remember for a long time. Check out a few photos from their day but to see more contact the couple for the password to their gallery along with a discount code for prints.
