During the winter weddings always have the little added challenge. Will the weather be kind and how much light will we have? We didn’t need to worry about that for Michelle and Adam’s wedding at The Church Restaurant in Northampton. We had good weather and lovely light. It was only the 2nd time we have photographed at this venue and funnily enough the last time was a winter wedding too. The venue has a warm cosy feel and is great for using location lighting as there is a lot of lovely ambient light throughout.
Michelle decided that she would get ready at home. It was lovely to work with Candice Fuller Make Up Artist again. It’s always a pleasure and she always does a fab job. Chloe Roberts was doing Michelle’s hair and Barton Sawyer Bridal did the bridesmaids. All the styling was beautiful. Jackie from Boutique Bridal in Lutterworth arrived when it was time for Michelle to get into her dress to make sure there were no last minute panics. Michelle looked gorgeous.
Kev had an early start at Mr Robinsons the barbers in Rugby town centre where the boys were having some pampering themselves 🙂 It was then off to get their suits on which were from Alberts Menswear and they looked fantastic. The look really fitted with the theme of the wedding with a lot of wood having been used.
Vintage Inspired Wedding Hire were responsible for the Camper Vans and also the Camper Van Photo Booth in the evening.
After the ceremony we were able to make use of the outside of the building for some photos. The leaves had recently fallen so there was lots of colour still around.
During this time Katie and the venue team turned around the room for the wedding breakfast and all of the newly weds details looked amazing. A special mention to Mel who provided the table plan and the wooden signs for the table symbols. The flowers were outstanding and these were from Albertine.
The lanterns and also the love letters which were at the evening venue were by Love Lumiere, a new local business. I loved the letters. Really rustic.
Once all the formalities of speeches and cake cutting had happened it was off to the Rainsbrook Centre for the party. 1E Entertainments had provided the backdrop for the dancefloor and Martin Humphries was on DJ duty.
The couple had a few sparklers so it seemed only right to get a little light painting with them which then led to a play around with our IceLight for a little extra shot at the end. A great day was had by all. Enjoy the selection below. To see more contact Michelle or Adam for the password and discount code for prints.
