Oh I do like to be beside the seaside! What a treat this wedding was. Not only were we seeing a fair few guests from previous weddings we have photographed but the wedding was in Perranporth, Cornwall at the Seiners Arms which is literally on the beach! Becky and Kris asked us to travel down to the South West of England to capture what was to be an awesome wedding. The weather could not have been more perfect for them and the scenery….well you can see for yourselves in the photos!
We spent the whole day with the couple, their family and friends commencing with some preparation shots at the hotel. Kev as always was with the guys and captured some candid photos of everyone coming together for the ceremony. Kris and the rest of the groomsmen had bought their suits from Slaters in Birmingham. Kris had visited Barber Shack in the morning to have a bit of a beard trim 🙂
I was with Becky and the girls while they had hair and make up done by Penny Pascoe and Snippets Hair. Becky had a stunning Sottero and Midgley dress which suited her and the beach surroundings just perfectly.
The ceremony was conducted by the registrars from Cornwall Council in a room overlooking the beach and with blue skies all day you can only imagine how perfect it felt. The flowers from Floral Cottage Designs matched the whole colour scheme so well you would have thought they had been painted. Rings had been made by Hill’s Goldsmith’s in Rugby.
Once married it was out onto the terrace for a choice of 3 cocktails and some group photos before we went down onto the beach for the first set of couple portraits. What a treat to be able to use the cliffs and sand as a backdrop. Lisa ran the day at the venue fantastically. The room was turned around for the wedding breakfast and the guests were treated to a fabulous meal. The cake by Auntie Carol sat proudly in the corner. During this time the tide had come in. Amazing how far in it comes and how quickly so in between the meal and the evening getting started we went up onto the cliffs overlooking the bay with Becky and Kris for some more photos. Wow what a view!
Once the tide went out it was back onto the beach, this time with the bridesmaids and groomsmen for some fun. 🙂 We also used the rock pools that had formed to shoot a couple more photos of the newly weds. If I was to say I had a favourite from the day this was probably it.
DJ Mark got things underway for the evening and we watched out for an evening sky and just grabbed a couple more shots before leaving everyone to enjoy the rest of the party.
A huge thanks to Lisa and her team at the Seiners Arms for a great day. And a massive thanks to all the family and friends of Becky and Kris for making us so welcome on such a special day. Also a thank you from Becky and Kris to Pat O’Dell from Helping Hands who looked after their dog Ralph. Here are a selection of the photos of the day. It was difficult to choose which ones to put in so if you want to see more then contact the couple for the password. 🙂
