We have had a lot of weddings over the winter period and we do enjoy the challenge of managing weather, light and photography. One venue that is always a pleasure to photograph is Brownsover Hall Hotel in Rugby, beautiful wedding venue inside and out. Abbey and Ross chose the hotel for their wedding and it was such a great day. We managed a few photos outside despite a little drizzle in the air.
We met up with the couple at the hotel where they were preparing for the ceremony. I was with Abbey in her room where the wonderful Candice Fuller Make Up Artist and hairdresser, Lisa Brinkworth, were hard at work. During the morning Jane and Ben from Jane Andrews Floral Designs arrived with beautiful bouquets and buttonholes. Abbey’s dress from Pollyanna in Warwick was absolutely stunning.
Kev spent the time before the ceremony with Ross. He had a few photos taken with the guys and then tried to relax greeting some of their guests arriving. The ceremony was conducted by the fabulous Julia from the registry office in Rugby with Dee making sure paperwork was completed correctly. We always get a requested shot of newly weds with Julia but this time we got Dee too. 🙂 The ceremony was beautiful with a few tears and also a bit of humour. Phil from the hotel was on hand with champagne as the couple left the room to celebrate with family and friends.
After some formal photos the couple had more time with their guests before they were welcomed into their wedding breakfast. The room detail looked lovely. Lots of hard work by the couple and their family to make sure everything was perfect. To finish it off the cake by Bay Tree Cakes stood proudly in the bay window.
We had an opportunity to capture some evening shots with Abbey and Ross before the evening got underway with the first dance, music provided by Winston from Total Eclipse. Everyone had a great time and we would personally like to thank the hotel for their hospitality, in particular to Philip and Alice as this was a poignant day for them. 🙂 Also thanks to Noel. Here are just a few of the many photos from the day. To see more contact Abbey and Ross for the password to their gallery along with a discount code for professionally printed photos.
