We met Natalie and Ashley at a wedding fayre almost 2 years ago so we had got to know them quite well by the time their wedding day at Draycote Hotel near Rugby came round. We were delighted that they chose us as their wedding photographer.
Kev and I went our separate ways in the morning. I met up with Natalie who was being looked after by her bridesmaids and Natalie who was doing the make-up. Once in her dress from Julia Dee Bridal she got into a rather nice car supplied by Jaguar to be transported to the lovely Draycote Hotel. Kev was with Ashley and the guys for the morning while he got ready into his suit from Nigel James and then made his way to the hotel in time to greet guests who were arriving for the ceremony.
After a small delay (due to an issue with the bridesmaids’ transport!) everyone arrived safely and the ceremony could begin in the Phoenix Suite with chair covers from Rainbow Linen and uplighting from JLW Sound and Lighting. Paula conducted a beautiful ceremony with Amy from the registry office in Rugby looking after the completion of the paperwork to make it all legal. Once the couple had walked down the aisle we left the guests to enjoy a post wedding drink while we made our way onto the golf course giving the newly weds a little time alone as husband and wife before capturing a few special photos. We even found a little spot on our way back to the hotel where there were some late poppies which we took advantage of.
They were then welcomed back into the hotel where their guests gave them a rapturous applause. Luckily the weather held out for us so we were able to make use of the gardens to the front of the hotel for some group shots before the wedding breakfast. The Phoenix Suite had been transformed and looked gorgeous with flowers from Rugby Flower Delivery. Lots of laughter and a few tears during the speeches and then we left them to enjoy the wonderful Draycote food.
The evening kicked off with the cutting of the cake from The Cake Shop in Bedworth and then a beautiful first dance to music by JLW Sound and Lighting. The couple were keen to have a few more photos so we took them away briefly which gave them some more time alone to take in what a beautiful day they were having. We did have a little rain later on but nothing to spoil a wonderful wedding. Thanks as always go to Stephan, Anna and the team at Draycote hotel where we are one of their preferred wedding photographers. Enjoy a few of the photos from Natalie and Ashley’s special day.
