Sarah and Andy chose Dunchurch Park Hotel near Rugby as their wedding venue and we were delighted to be chosen as their wedding photographers. Dunchurch Park has beautiful grounds and is perfect for photos outside whatever the time of year. Spring is a favourite with blossom on the trees, and the freshness of new leaves produces gorgeous colour in the images.
Sarah was getting ready with her Mum and bridesmaid at her Mum’s home in Rugby. She had Candice Fuller Make Up Artist on hand with her brushes and Faye Copson in control of the hairstyling for the ladies. I have worked many times with both ladies and we had a great morning with no stresses but lots of laughter. Sarah had chosen her dress from Sposa in Brinklow and she looked stunning in it. Her flowers beautifully complemented her dress too and these were arranged by Flowers by Michelle.
Kev went over to Andy at the couple’s home where he was getting ready with their son and his best man. Looks like Sarah has got him well trained with the ball and chain. 😉
Sarah arrived at the hotel and was met by Tony who was to be running the day with his team of staff at the hotel. The ceremony was conducted by Amy who is also a friend of Sarah’s and I know she felt really honoured to be able to do this for the couple. They exchanged rings from M&Ms Jewellers in Rugby and then after the ceremony the couple greeted their guests on the terrace where David Taylor was working his magic…..literally. This superb magician was entertaining the guests and I have to say, no matter how many times I watch him I can never see how he does what he does!!
Once we had completed the group shots including the now famous selfie shot, we took Sarah and Andy off for some photos around the lake. The weather was perfect and so were our newly weds. They were so natural in front of the camera. It was then into the Great Hall for the wedding breakfast. The room looked lovely. The chair covers and sashes had been provided by Rainbow Linen and the cake was made by JJs.
Sarah and Andy had loved our shot in front of the gates on the drive so had asked if we could do this shot for them. We did have a little challenge as there was a school prom in another part of the hotel so we had a lot of traffic to contend with. However we managed to get the shot with little disruption to those arriving. In fact the van waiting at the front of the queue happened to be driven by our very own wedding photographer from 8 years ago!!!
Back in the Great Hall we got ready for the first dance which Mix Disco had lined up and then we left the couple to party the night away with family and friends. We had a fab day and would like to thank Tony and all the staff at Dunchurch Park for yet again looking after us. It is always a pleasure. Enjoy just a few of the many images that we captured from Sarah and Andy’s very special day.
