A fun day was had by all when Karen and Brian married at Wethele Manor recently. We had a gloriously sunny afternoon which meant that an outdoor ceremony was in order. We love Wethele Manor, a wedding photographer’s dream. Lots and lots of opportunities for photos in really well kept gardens and around the house too.
I met up with Karen at home where hair and make up were in full swing courtesy of the wonderful Candice Fuller Make Up Artist and Sam from Hair Boutique in Rugby. There was a delivery from Garden Gate with the most beautiful flowers. As you will see from the blog the flowers featured a lot and really added the wow factor. Karen then travelled to the venue before putting on her dress which had been made by Eternal Spirits in Nottingham. She looked stunning in it.
Kev was with Brian and the boys getting ready. He looked fab in his kilt from the Formal Hire Company in Wigston.
Many of the guests arrived by coach at Wethele Manor and they were soon seated for the ceremony which was conducted by Ruth with Dee there to sort out the paperwork, both from the registry office in Rugby. As always the ceremony was beautiful and Ruth made it really personal. There was lots of opportunity for candid shots throughout the day. Men borrowing the ladies’ hats and varying selfie shots being taken amongst the guests. We managed to tear the couple away for a few shots of their own before they rejoined their guests to make their way into the marquee for the wedding breakfast.
The marquee looked fabulous with help from Millhouse Events who dressed the tables and provided the LOVE letters. The cake had a pride of place and was made by JJs with a rather cheeky topper! There was a surprise from Karen who had organised Singing Waiters. Oh wow what an amazing atmosphere. Everyone was up on their feet, waving napkins and we even had ties around heads. Loved photographing this.
The weather turned later but it was fine as we had most of the photos that we needed outside. We did manage to get Karen and Brian out for a couple of shots in the pouring rain under the lit gazebo but with a brolly. It was worth it 🙂
Our Photo Booth added to the evening’s entertainment and everyone had a great time. Huge thanks to Duncan and the team for another brilliant wedding at Wethele Manor.
