As wedding photographers we aim to capture the whole of the story of a wedding and Helen and Dave’s special day was full of detail and emotion giving us lots of opportunities. The couple chose the lovely Church at Sharnford for their marriage vows and then it was off the Draycote Hotel near Rugby to celebrate.
I began the day with Helen, the girls and her Dad where they were all getting ready. Candice Fuller Make Up Artist was working her wonders with the brushes as always. Hair was being styled by Beautiful You Salon. There was such a lovely atmosphere with everyone singing along to music, and singing extremely well I must say! Helen’s dress was from Dresses 2 Impress U and she looked stunning in it.
Kev went to catch up with Dave and the guys for a few photos beforehand. He appears to have had a little fun which always helps to keep the groom relaxed in advance. They were in suits from the Wedding Barn at Ufton.
A beautiful car from Wedding Bell Cars arrived to transport the ladies to the Church. We were met at the Church by a vicar who we know pretty well. Mick Norman got married a couple of years ago and we photographed his wedding to his lovely wife Denise and things were kept in the family as his son was playing the organ for the service too. It was a lovely service with little Isabella, Helen’s niece, melting everyone’s hearts with a fantastically read piece about her Auntie and Uncle.
We then made our way to Draycote Hotel where Stephan and Anna were ready waiting for the newlywed’s arrival. We whisked them off for a few photos down by the reservoir and then they were introduced to their guests on the balcony. Lots of fun with the group shots and then in for the wedding breakfast. The room looked amazing as always with uplighting from JLW Sound and Lighting and linen by Rainbow Linen.
Afterwards we gave the couple the opportunity for a few more photos which also gave them a bit of time together away from the crowds before the evening celebrations got underway with the cake cutting and first dance. Gary from JLW kept the dancefloor full and we had our Photo Booth up and running for some fun photos throughout the night.
