Robyn and David contacted us from their home in Zurich to arrange for us to be their wedding photographers for their wedding at the historic Holdenby House in Northamptonshire. This was a new venue for us so we had been to have a look around in advance of the big day and we were blown away by the opportunities for photos in the stunning gardens.
Both myself and Kev had a little travelling on the day. I spent the morning with Robyn, her family and her bridesmaids and her Mother’s home near Milton Keynes and Kev was at David’s parents’ home in Birmingham. Robyn had been to the hairdressers earlier and her make up artist was waiting when she arrived home. We had plenty of time for a few photos in the beautiful gardens which was where we had photographed the couple for their pre wedding shoot a few months earlier when they were back in England for a visit. Robyn and her bridesmaids were up for a few fun shots too.
The ceremony was being held at Holdenby House too so Kev and I met back up there and captured the guests arriving along with some of the detail that had enhanced the already beautiful decor of the venue. The flowers were probably some of the most amazing I have seen. They smelt divine as herbs had been included in the arrangements.
After the ceremony it was out on the lawn for drinks and photos. The weather was glorious. We took the newly weds off for a few couple shots before they made their way back in for their wedding breakfast. We had another best woman at this wedding. This is becoming more common. She bravely took the stand for her speech and did David proud.
The couple were keen to have some more photos after their wedding breakfast and we were able to make use of the fading light along with some historic structures to capture some of our signature shots.
The evening entertainment was dancing to a band along with our Photo booth providing some additional fun.
We had an amazing day. A big thank you to Robyn and David’s family and friends for making us so welcome. Also a huge thank you to the team at Holdenby for looking after us. Here are just a few of the photos from their day.
