The weather has been kind to us so far this year however we did have rain to contend with when we were the wedding photographers for Lisa and Jonathon at Dunchurch Park Hotel recently. I met up with Lisa at home where she was getting ready and she did look a little disappointed that the sun from the previous week hadn’t continued for her big day. Needless to say she had a relaxed morning getting ready with her bridesmaids before making her way to St Marks Church in Bilton. Kev met up with Jonathon at his parents’ home for a few shots while they put on their suits supplied by Salters Menswear in Rugby. When the girls arrived at the Church where George the vicar was waiting for them and the rain stopped so she was able to make her way in without getting soaked! She was carrying flowers that had been arranged into her bouquet by a friend, Carrie. The Church service was very personal including their friend Trudy singing a traditional song in Welsh during the signing of the register. She sang beautifully and it was even more impressive as she doesn’t speak Welsh.
The newly weds made their way back to Dunchurch Park Hotel where Arron was their Master of Ceremonies for the day. We managed photos out on the terrace and onto the lawn with the lake in the background and once back inside the Great Hall the rain came again. Good timing for us! Rainbow Linen had done a lovely job of providing the chair covers and sashes making the Hall look beautiful.
The couple cut the cake by Cakes Fabulous Cakes just before their first dance. They had been for lessons and were fantastic. No first dance shuffle for this pair! 🙂 They then danced the night away to the band, Phat Cats.
A big thanks to Arron and the team at Dunchurch Park for looking after us. It really was a lovely day. Here are a few of the photos. Contact the couple for the password to the gallery if you would like to see more.
