Well here it is! The wedding of Jo and Andy. I know there are a few of you waiting for this one 🙂
We met Jo and Andy over Sunday lunch…..yes really! They contacted us that very afternoon to book us as their photographers for their Draycote Hotel wedding. It has been lovely getting to know this pair and their little girl and we knew we were going to have a great day and we did. I met up with Jo and her bridesmaids at Aphrodite where they were having their make up done for the day. They had been across to Honeycomb earlier in the day to have their hair done by Polly, herself one of the bridesmaids. We then headed back to Jo’s parents to finish off and get some great photos before leaving for Church. Jo looked stunning in her dress from Special Occasions as did her bridesmaids who were all in yellow. The two little flower girls just looked as cute as a button! The flowers had been prepared by Annita’s Floral Design and all I can say is Wow! They were beautiful.
Kev was with the guys at Draycote while they got ready, had a beer and took to the putting green in their suits from Heaphys! They then headed to St Botolphs Church in Newbold with a little detour (check the photos for the shots of guests walking up the road and you might guess where they had all been!)
The service was lead by the Reverend Paul who we have met on a number of occasions and it was very personal as he knew the pair. The newly weds then made their way back to Draycote Hotel in a car provided by our friends at A&M. Stephan and Anna were waiting with a little refreshment and golf buggies so we could whisk them away for some photos on the golf course. There was a lot of laughter the whole time we were out and we made a point of getting a photo on Andy’s favourite hole on the golf course. Once back the couple were introduced onto the balcony in true Draycote style before drinks and photos on the lawn.
The room looked stunning for the wedding breakfast with chair covers and sashes provided by Rainbow Linen. Gary from JLW Sound and Lighting was responsible for matching the lighting to their blue and yellow theme.
The evening saw the couple cut the cake which had been made by their friend Steve from Sweet Cake Design and then Gary (JLW) entertained on the dancefloor with an amazing fireworks display later from Halo FX.
Brilliant day. Thanks to everyone at the Draycote for making it so special. Enjoy some of the many photos from their day. And as their order of service said ……..And so it begins! 🙂 All the best for your future guys and we will see you soon.
