We didn’t meet Holly and Steve until a few days before their wedding as they live in Australia. But as soon as we met we all got on great and we could tell it was going to be a good day. They had booked us as their wedding photographers at Dunchurch Park after we had been recommended to them by a friend.

I made my way over to Holly’s parents’ home where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. Sarah Marie Wilcox was working the magic on make up and all seemed quite relaxed. We were delighted to have Ben from BRS Videography with us too. We all work so well together at a wedding. Holly and her Dad travelled to the village Church at Stretton in a convertible VW Beetle and as the weather was glorious at this point the hood was down as she arrived. The bridesmaids had a VW Campervan as their mode of transport.

Kev was with Steve and the boys at the hotel. He was able to capture some amusing images in addition to some preparation shots which you will only get to see if you have the password to their gallery!! 😉

On arrival at Dunchurch Park Ivan was there to greet them as he was the Master of Ceremonies for the couple. The weather turned a little so we were dodging showers but despite that we managed to get some fab shots using the features of the hotel.

The wedding breakfast was being served in the marquee and wow what a gorgeous sight! Rainbow Linen, Flowers by Michelle and the couple themselves all contributed to the detail. The theme was travel and this was represented in everything. There was a vintage twist to it all too. I know they really appreciated the support that their friend Mia had given them in the run up to the wedding too. The speeches had emotion and laughter and their bosses from Oz had travelled the thousands of miles to be at the wedding and stood to speak on behalf of their Australian friends.

After the meal we went to use some of the indoor features of the hotel and then something new…..a shot at the dramatic gates of the grounds which are normally never closed. Check out the last photo in the blog.

The couple return home on Sunday and we wish them all the best for their future. Enjoy this selection of photos from their day.
