We were so looking forward to being the wedding photographers at this wedding! Amy and Matt met us at a wedding fayre at Dunchurch Park Hotel 22 months before their big day and we all got on like a house on fire from the start! We were also working with many suppliers that we know well which is always a bonus. Who would have known how hot this particular day was going to be! The weather was more than kind 🙂
Both Amy and Matt were at the hotel in the morning so we met up with them there for their preparation photos. Amy was with the girls having her hair done by the wonderful Natalie from Bridal Hair Specialists by Natalie Bartrum. Rochelle O’Brien Make up Artist was doing a her magic with make up. I have worked with both of these ladies in the past and it is always a pleasure. It all came together when Amy put her dress on from Georgina Scott Bridal.
Kev spent the morning with the boys who really had a “boys toys” moment when Matt’s surprise arrived at the hotel. Amy had hired a Shelby 500GT for Matt so he could go for a spin in the car before the ceremony. He was over the moon as it is his favourite car. They all looked fab in their Nicholas Smith suits.
The ceremony in the Great Hall at Dunchurch Park was a real spectacle thanks to chair covers and sashes from Rainbow Linen and an aisle display from Cristal Flowers and Balloons from Solihull. Amy entered carrying her beautiful bouquet from Flowers by Michelle who had also provided the beautiful centre pieces for the wedding breakfast. Julia, the lovely registrar from our local registry office in Rugby, carried out the ceremony and as always added a little humour here and there which makes it all that bit more special.
Amy and Matt had the services of a videographer for their day, our great pal Ben from BRS Videography. We all work so well together to ensure that we maximise the opportunities for our images and the moving footage and I know that the newly weds have been blown away by what Ben has produced for them. After a few group photos and then a wander down to the lake for some couple photos we all made our way back to the Great Hall where Tony from the hotel was working with the team to ensure that the room looked stunning. We took Amy and Matt out again afterwards for a few more photos which gave them an opportunity to spend some time together, which is always difficult on your wedding day. They then had a little more time with their guests before the evening got started with the cutting of a beautiful cake from Sticky Fingers Cake Creations and we are pretty sure it will have tasted as good as it looked. Dan from Intense Sound and Lighting then entertained the guests into the early hours.
We really did have a great day and were able to get some fab images. A big thank you to Tony and the team at the hotel for looking after us. And a massive thanks to Amy and Matt for giving us the opportunity to capture their special day. Here are just a few! 🙂
