What a glorious day for a truly lovely couple! Lindsay and Mark met us at a wedding fayre when they were about to book their venue. They decided that we were the wedding photographers for their Hellidon Lakes Northamptonshire wedding and even worked around the dates we were available which was very humbling. We met up again in our studio and instantly we all got on chatting about suppliers that they needed for their special day, all of which joined together in giving this couple their dream day.
I met Lindsay at home on the big day. She travelled from her parents home in Staffordshire in the morning having had her hair done by her regular hairdresser Elaine Akrigg. One of her bridesmaids was an expert in make up so this was the first task when she arrived home. She wore a beautiful dress supplied by Tillie’s Bridal Dreams in Rugby. Lindsay cannot speak highly enough of the help, guidance and support she received from Natalie. Kev was with the guys at the hotel where Mark was soon into his suit which had been hired from our friends at Salters Menswear in Rugby. All of them looked very smart. Fleurissimo had supplied everlasting flowers to match the colours of their day and Lindsay was especially happy with them as she hated the thought of throwing away her bouquet after the wedding.
A&M Chauffeurs were on hand with one of their classic cars to take Lindsay to St Marie’s Church, one of our favourites! The sun just kept shining as they said their vows in front of their friends and family with the service conducted by Father Fitzpatrick. After a few photos at the Church everyone made their way to the hotel where the couple were met by Amy, the wedding co-ordinator and Dan, who was running their day for them. I have to say Dan was great to work with. He made our job so much easier even giving us a ride on the golf buggy down to the water garden!! We made our way there after drinks and photos on the terrace to take some shots just of the couple and to give them some time alone together, always a nice moment.
The wedding breakfast room was exactly as the couple had wanted all thanks to Rainbow Linen and the hotel. Karen from Sticky Fingers Cake Creations had made a beautiful cake. You would not have believed that she had broken her collar bone only days before. She did so well and was never going to let the couple down.
The evening was rounded off with dancing to Ace DJ Services who played all the couples favourite music until 1am. Thanks for a great day guys. It really was a pleasure. Here are just a few of the many photos we took. 🙂
