We recently had the pleasure of photographing the winter wedding of Harriet and Paul who had chosen a Christmas theme at The Church Restaurant in Northampton.
Harriet got ready at a local hotel and had the wonderful Candice Fuller to do her make up. The bridesmaids were relaxed and calm when I arrived which is always a good sign! Harriet was helped into her dress by her Mum who was also with her all morning. Harriet”s beautiful dress had been altered by Tillie’s Bridal Dreams in Rugby and fitted perfectly. She looked stunning. Jewellery from M&M the Jewellers added to the look. 😉 As the ladies left the hotel they picked up their pretty bouquets supplied by Flowers by Michelle.
The guys met Kev at the venue already in their suits from Salters of Rugby. Again all was fairly calm and relaxed. They even had time for a quick drink over the road at the local pub!
Harriet and Paul had asked the venue if the decorations for the Christmas tree could match their colour theme and they duly obliged changing from the normal purples to reds for the whole of the Christmas period. The registrar helped the couple to enjoy their ceremony with some witty anecdotes throughout. Harriet had made the brave decision to walk in down the stairs which was a lovely entrance. Paul Gunton played live music at this point. After the ceremony we took formal shots which we managed to do outside despite the cold. They then made their way back into the restaurant which had been turned around for their wedding breakfast with table decorations by Gems Celebrations. Some great speeches before the meal something we are finding many couples are doing now. I think it helps the guys to enjoy their food more if they aren’t worrying about speaking!
The couple cut the cake made by Bella Torte once many of the evening guests had arrived and then went straight into the first dance. We then left them to dance the night away. It was a lovely day and here are a selection of their photos. More are on the website, just ask them for the password.
