We were so proud to be asked to photograph one of the Olympic torches when the relay came to Rugby.
A local company Airwave are sponsors and they wanted all of their staff to be a part of the Olympic excitement so their torchbearer Tom Brennan did a tour of the building so that everyone had an opportunity to see the torch.
MP Mark Pawsey was there to see Tom arrive and there was a huge group of staff waiting in the canteen to greet him. After an inspiring speech Tom then gave up the torch for a few hours so that we could take individual photos of it with members of staff. They each made a donation to the charity Child Victims of Crime before being handed the torch for their picture which they took away with them that day. They raised in excess of £500 for the charity which is amazing.
A big thank you to everyone at Airwave for being so friendly and we hope you enjoyed working with Ani Evans Photography. We look forward to seeing some of you again in Slough next week when we do it all again and see if we can’t raise even more money!
Here are a couple of photos from the day. We even got a photo with the torch too!
